Tips for Aircraft Operators

TIP: You can request quotes from FBOs at up to three different airports per RFQ/fuel stop. For example, if you have the flexibility of flying into KTEB or KHPN or KEWR as your fueling destination, you can request quotes from FBOs at all three airports with a single RFQ to broaden the competition. This feature is also helpful when there is only one FBO located at an airport because you can invite FBOs at neighboring airports to compete for your business too.

 

TIP: Wavepilot’s private messaging can be a powerful negotiating tool. Send messages to FBOs to ask about special discounts and fee waivers they might offer to earn your business.

 

TIP: You can end an RFQ early by awarding an FBO's quote at any time. However, it is preferable to let RFQs run until their scheduled end time to encourage FBOs to compete for your business right up to the last minute.

 

TIP: FBOs pay different merchant fees for different credit cards. Use Wavepilot’s private messaging to ask the FBO if they will grant a greater discount if you use a particular payment method to pay for your fuel and services.
